I went on a date today, with a boy who has been asking me to go out with him for 6 years. He stood me up when we were 15 and yet 6 years later, he did it better then a textbook perfect first date.
He bought me flowers and opened my door, paid for lunch and made everything a surprise, took me to the winter festival and to southbank for coconut jelly bellies, to a tea centre to handpick a yummy new drink and kissed me goodbye.
Too amazing for any more words. I’m a lucky girl.
Every leaf that fell on me from this tree during lunch I counted as one of my blessings from God.
I’m off for lunch in beautiful paddington with an even more beautiful friend, who is a light in my life, the skinny to my latte and loves me for exactly who I am.
Today I’m enjoying the little things; the challenge of gym, seeing an old friend who’s career has taken off, yummy food, and as a little reminder that I’m loved- wearing bracelets given to me by the three women who inspire me most. Mother, godmother, best friend.
